Enrollment Documentation Requirements

Upon registration, all Valar Institute students are required to satisfy the following enrollment documentation and verification requirements.

Transcripts
ID Verification
English Language Proficiency Requirement
Enrollment Agreement

Transcripts

All students are required to submit unofficial transcripts confirming that the minimum eligibility criteria is met, by the Enrollment Documents Deadline which is four weeks prior to the program start date. Additionally, Valar Institute requires all students to submit an official transcript for the highest completed degree by the eighth week in the program. If students are able to provide an official transcript directly from their prior institution by the Enrollment Documents Deadline, the unofficial transcript would not be necessary. View Valar's Student Transcript Policy and Transcript Requirements FAQ for an explanation regarding the difference between official and unofficial documentation as well as more detailed information regarding transcript submission.

ID Verification

Valar Institute verifies student identity by utilizing IDology, a leading provider of identity verification solutions. Through IDology’s hosted ID verification process, students are asked to scan a government-issued photo ID. It then asks the student to take a live photo of themselves. From there, IDology verifies the authenticity of the scanned documents and performs a facial comparison of the ID to the live photo. Expired or otherwise invalidated IDs will not be accepted for enrollment. You can read more here.

English Language Proficiency Requirement

Prospective Executive MBA students whose native language is not English and who have not earned a degree from an accredited institution where English is the principal language of instruction must demonstrate proficiency in English through either:
  • Providing either a transcript indicating completion of at least 30 semester credit hours with an average grade of “B” at an accredited institution where the language of instruction was English; or
  • Earning a sufficient score on one of the approved foreign language exams.
Details on both of the above options, including threshold scores for English language exams, can be found in the English Language Proficiency Requirement article.  All English Language Proficiency documentation must be submitted by the Enrollment Documents Deadline, four weeks prior to program start date.
Enrollment Agreement
Once registered, Valar Institute students are required to review and sign an Enrollment Agreement by the Enrollment Documents Deadline, four weeks prior to the program start date. The Enrollment Agreement is a contract between Valar Institute and the student, specifying student information, details of enrollment and matriculation (including program start and completion dates), the obligations of Valar, student rights, responsibilities, and obligations, Valar’s complaint policy, and acceptance of the transfer credit disclosure statement.
Students will receive an email and link to the agreement from our e-signature platform. To complete the Enrollment Agreement, open the link and review the document, ensure that all information is correct, and complete, initial, and sign the form. Students may also access and sign the Enrollment Agreement through the student dashboard at any time after registration.
The Enrollment Agreement is securely retained in a separate authenticated file store. Data access is limited to a restricted list of administrators, and document viewing is logged.
